Shelves2Drawers is a local Colorado business, based in Erie, Colorado, that engaged Cloudburst to redesign their logo, updated overall branding and marketing materials, as well as a new website design for their business. This was a ‘soup to nuts’ project that covered a wide range of design and creative services, and one that has been extremely successful for the clients’ business goals and bottom line!
Logo Design & Branding
The logo design and branding portion of this project was our starting place for all the project work, and it created the visual guide and creative direction for all the later elements of the project. It also created a solid working and communication process with the client. The logo design features a skeuomorphic icon of roll out drawers, which is exactly the product they are selling and installing. We also selected and customized a condensed font treatment due to the longer name of the business.
The tagline further explains the business offering, and is treated with a lighter, more subtle and elegant font style. Final logo files included all vector artwork, web formats, various sizes, as well as full color, single color, and inverted design treatments for use in any context or application.
Web Design & Development
The web design & development portion of this project extended the creative direction of the logo design, as well as photography and video assets we created for the client. The website homepage features an immersive background HTML5 video experience to show the products in action, as well as concise marketing messaging and amazing photos of the installed products. Multiple opportunities are presented to the visitor to learn more about the product, pricing, and other elements that are essential in decision making.
The web design features a simple and highly usable main navigation that presents all the information site visitors need. This includes the business phone number, contact info, pricing, and top-level links to product features and company information. The design is also mobile responsive to detect and respond to mobile devices and tablets. The footer of this website design is also packed full of useful information, awards, links, and social media channels.
The entire back end of the website is a full-featured WordPress Content Management System (CMS), so the client is able to manage the content, edit pages and posts, change images, add photos to galleries, organize site menus and navigation, manage users, and pretty much anything they could possibly need to do as their business grows. We have continued to work with the client after the site launch to assist with new site functionality, site maintenance and updates, and security hardening.
Custom Photography
For this project, we also took custom photos of the products and installation process to help tell the complete story, and highlight the great quality of the products. These photos are used throughout the website design, in site galleries, social media images, and were used to create standalone elements and graphics to explain product features and details.
Custom Videography
We also shot custom video for this project, which was used for installation videos, as well as background video on the website homepage. Having video elements on websites is proven to increase conversion and overall engagement for potential customers. These videos have also been leveraged on other channels and outlets like YouTube and Social Media channels.
